As of January 2015, D.K. Singh took over the global purchasing function as Chief Purchasing Officer with a €12B spend across a global community of production and non-production suppliers.
D.K. most recently served as the Chief Procurement Officer of ConAgra Foods Inc., an American packaged foods company, and managed enterprise spend delivering significant synergies and impact to the company’s top and bottom lines. This was accomplished by leveraging strategic partnerships with suppliers and working with cross-functional stakeholders. Over the course of his 27-year career, D.K. has also held senior leadership positions in Global Procurement, Supply Chain, Engineering, and General Management with Motorola and IBM.
D.K. received an undergraduate degree in Mechanical Engineering from GB Pant University in India and also has an MS in Industrial Engineering from Mississippi State University, USA. He is based in Chicago, Illinois.
Mr. Gallant joined WCAS in 2008 as a Senior Operating Executive. At WCAS, Mr. Gallant is responsible for helping portfolio companies to identify and implement initiatives focused on growth and operational improvement through sourcing and procurement strategies. Before joining WCAS, he worked at Bell Canada as Vice President of Procurement where he was responsible for sourcing, supplier management, purchasing technology and policy development. Prior to joining Bell Canada, he was Vice President and General Manager of ICG Commerce, a leading procurement outsourcing company. Mr. Gallant also held supply chain and procurement leadership positions at IBM and Baxter Healthcare. He received a Bachelor of Science in Accounting from Miami University and his M.B.A. in Finance from DePaul University.
Pete leads the combined areas of Centralized Purchasing and Commodity Risk Management and directs his talented team to create value for our members in many ways. Through the centralized purchasing team, Pete is responsible for over 2,000 cross-concept items including vegetables, packaging, sauces, seasonings and cleaning supplies. With a toolkit of innovation and aggressive contract management, Pete has quickly developed high-performance teams and is well respected for the value they bring to business partners and peers.
Joining UFPC in 2004, Pete initially led the newly created commodity risk management team. Shortly thereafter, Pete assumed leadership of the Centralized Food and Packaging Department. His previous experience includes serving as Director of Feed Grain Merchandising for Archer Daniels Midland (ADM). Pete earned a bachelor’s degree in agricultural economics from Ohio State University.
Before becoming Chief Procurement officer at Abbott, he was Starbucks senior vice president of global procurement. Ric’s background outside of global sourcing includes packaging, logistics, manufacturing, planning and engineering. He started his career with Miller Brewing and has also worked with Phillip Morris and Kraft Foods prior to joining Starbucks. Ric has also had a variety of assignments providing him global experiences in business acquisitions.
Ric received undergraduate degrees in Structural Engineering and Industrial Engineering from the Milwaukee School of Engineering and an MBA from the Kellogg School of Business at Northwestern University.
