Garland has over 34 years in the plastics industry. He served as President and General Manager of Doskocil Mfg. and affiliated companies (injection molding, structural foam, compounding; $180 mm revenue.)Garland is active in the Fort Worth community and currently sits on the Board of Directors of Mira Vista Country Club and he is a proud supporter of Catholic Charities, Cistercian, and TCU. Garland is a graduate of the University of North Texas.
Bill Bowie

Bill Bowie – Managing Partner/Co-Founder

Bill has over 31 years of exclusive focus on plastic resin. He served 8 years as President and General Manager of Spectrum Polymers (compounding 120 mm lbs with $28 mm revenue) and 6 years as Resin Manager of Poly America (compounding 400 mm lbs).

Bill was recently honored with the Legacy of Men award from Safe Haven of Tarrant County. Safe Haven is an organization close to his heart which works with women and children of domestic violence in Tarrant County. He is an active philanthropist in Arlington and an active member at Trinity Methodist Church. Bill is a graduate of the University of Wisconsin.

Garland and Bill’s inspiration for RTi was first seeded by what they accomplished as Senior Executives at Doskocil Mfg., where they both worked. Resin became a primary focus at Doskocil as it represented 50% of the total cost in the company. Because of this focus Garland and Bill grew Doskocil’s business by increasing sales over 20% for ten years in a row, plus improved EBIT from 6% to 18%.

Garland and Bill started RTi in 1998 and have built the business into the largest company of its kind in North America. The plastic market is a non-transparent market where clients pay significant differences in price. RTi began by helping processors buy their raw material at “their” best price. The business started exploding when RTi began adding some of the top executives in the plastics industry. These include former resin supplier executives, brokers, Presidents and General Managers of plastic companies.

Today RTi helps our customers buy over 20 billion lbs of resin annually. These are transactional benchmarks that are used to service all clients. RTi has indirect transactional visibility into an additional 25% of the market through our Network and Secondary Markets.

In 2008 RTi started serving the packaging end-user business. We bring technical transparency to the package and/or plastic part which clients procure. In 2012, RTi expanded into helping end-users procure paper packaging and products; giving RTi a “total package solution”.
